Nigeria records 10 holidays in 2025. 8 are nationwide public holidays and 0 apply only in certain regions. Not one public holiday lands on a weekend in 2025 — every single one falls on a working day. Workers' Day (1 May 2025), Democracy Day (12 Jun 2025) and Christmas Day (25 Dec 2025) sit on a Tuesday or Thursday: book the Fridays and each becomes a four-day break. The busiest month is Apr, with 2 of them. The longest run without one is 111 days, between 12 Jun 2025 and 1 Oct 2025. The last was Boxing Day on 26 Dec 2025.
