National Youth Day
Sunday, 1 Nov 2026 · Nigeria · Nationwide · Observance holiday
Bridge day check
Falls on the weekend, so it costs most people no leave — and in many countries no day is given back.
What the day is for
A recognised observance rather than a day off work.
Do shops and banks close?
Business as usual, though there may be local events or ceremonies.
Getting around
Normal services.
These notes come from the day's official classification rather than country-specific reporting, so treat them as general guidance for Nigeria.
When it falls each year
Floating holidays shift; fixed ones move only in which weekday they land on.
