Australia records 25 holidays in 2028. 7 are nationwide public holidays and 18 apply only in certain regions. Not one public holiday lands on a weekend in 2028 — every single one falls on a working day. Anzac Day (25 Apr 2028) and Boxing Day (26 Dec 2028) sit on a Tuesday or Thursday: book the Mondays and each becomes a four-day break. The busiest month is Apr, with 3 of them. The longest run without one is 244 days, between 25 Apr 2028 and 25 Dec 2028. The year opens with New Year's Day on 3 Jan 2028 and closes with Boxing Day on 26 Dec 2028.
