Kurban Bayramı 1. Gün
Eid al-Adha First Day
Wednesday, 27 May 2026 · Türkiye · Nationwide · Public holiday
Bridge day check
Falls midweek on a Wednesday. It splits the week rather than extending the weekend, so bridging costs two days of leave either side.
What the day is for
Kurban Bayramı runs four and a half days around the sacrifice and the distribution of meat to neighbours and those in need.
Do shops and banks close?
Full closure of banks and public offices; coastal resorts run at capacity.
Getting around
Peak road and air travel; book any domestic journey weeks in advance.
When it falls each year
Floating holidays shift; fixed ones move only in which weekday they land on.
