The Eritrea holiday calendar at a glance
Eritrea observes 10 nationwide public holidays each year. Every holiday applies nationwide, so there are no regional days to track. 8 keep the same date every year, such as Amet ሓዲሽ ዓመት, Lidet ልደት and 6 others. The other 2 move from year to year — Arbi Siklet ዓርቢ ስቅለት and Fasika ፋሲካ — so check the date before you plan. In 2026, Timket ጥምቀት, Arbi Siklet ዓርቢ ስቅለት and May Day land on a Monday or Friday, giving a three-day weekend with no leave needed.
