Sexta-feira Santa
Good Friday
Friday, 3 Apr 2026 · Portugal · Nationwide · Public holiday
Bridge day check
Falls on a Friday, so it makes a three-day weekend with no leave needed.
What the day is for
A solemn Christian day. In parts of Europe and Latin America, processions and quiet-hours rules apply.
Do shops and banks close?
Most retail and all banks close. Some countries restrict music, dancing and alcohol sales.
Getting around
Sunday-style timetables; heavy outbound traffic as the long weekend starts.
When it falls each year
Floating holidays shift; fixed ones move only in which weekday they land on.
