Most offices are closed for the festive season anyway. Shops in towns reopen, often with sales; many firms do not fully restart until early January.

One of the busiest stretches on the roads, with heavy traffic to the coast at Swakopmund and to family homes in the north. Allow extra time on the B1 and B2.
