Hari Raya Puasa
Saturday, 21 Mar 2026 · Singapore · Nationwide · Public holiday
Bridge day check
Falls on the weekend, so it costs most people no leave — and in many countries no day is given back.
What the day is for
Eid al-Fitr, ending Ramadan. Morning prayers at the mosques, then open house visiting through the day. The Geylang Serai bazaar runs for the preceding month.
Do shops and banks close?
Public holiday; offices and banks close. Muslim-owned businesses often close for a second day too.
Getting around
Normal services; heavy causeway traffic to Johor over the long weekend.
When it falls each year
Floating holidays shift; fixed ones move only in which weekday they land on.
