Labour Day
Saturday, 2 May 2026 · Serbia · Nationwide · Public holiday
Bridge day check
Falls on the weekend, so it costs most people no leave — and in many countries no day is given back.
What the day is for
International Workers' Day. Marches and union rallies in many cities, a straightforward day off in others.
Do shops and banks close?
Offices, banks and most shops closed. Rallies can close central streets.
Getting around
Reduced services; city-centre routes may be diverted around demonstrations.
When it falls each year
Floating holidays shift; fixed ones move only in which weekday they land on.
