Bridge day check
Falls midweek on a Wednesday. It splits the week rather than extending the weekend, so bridging costs two days of leave either side.
What the day is for

Do shops and banks close?
Public holiday; offices, banks and schools close.
Getting around
Parade and security closures in Dhaka in the morning.
When it falls each year
Floating holidays shift; fixed ones move only in which weekday they land on.
