Carnival Monday
Monday, 3 Aug 2026 · Antigua and Barbuda · Nationwide · Public holiday
Bridge day check
Falls on a Monday, so it makes a three-day weekend with no leave needed.
What the day is for
The pre-Lenten festival: parades, costume and street parties, at its largest in Brazil and the Caribbean.
Do shops and banks close?
Offices and banks close or run half days; bars, food stalls and retail in party districts thrive.
Getting around
Major route closures and extended night services in host cities.
When it falls each year
Floating holidays shift; fixed ones move only in which weekday they land on.
